Pre-Day
Meeting in El ChaltĂ©n – Briefing with the guide.

Day 1: El Chaltén - Laguna Toro
The adventure begins! We start our trek through the forest on rolling trails, then traverse a broad glacial valley toward Laguna Toro. Covering 16 km, we’ll enjoy stunning views of Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, and Cerro Solo, their majestic peaks visible for most of the route. We’ll spend the night at Camp Toro, our first wilderness stop on this expedition.

Day 2: RĂo TĂșnel Tyrolean Traverse & Paso del Viento
Heading west, we face strong winds and tackle more challenging terrain. After skirting Laguna Toro, we’ll cross the RĂo TĂșnel either wading or via a Tyrolean traverse. The ascent begins through massive glacial moraines, onto the TĂșnel Glacier, then up a rocky, scrubby slope toward Paso del Viento (1,400m). From the top, the unparalleled view of the Southern Ice Field, the Mariano Moreno mountain range, and Viedma Glacier will leave us speechless. After soaking in the panorama, snapping photos, and resting, we’ll descend toward our camp by Laguna Paso del Viento.

Day 3: Viedma Glacier, Paso Huemul & Lago Viedma
We break camp and gain elevation once more, offering even better views of Viedma Glacier. As we traverse crystal-clear mountain lagoons, we make a few rest stops before our final ascent: Paso Huemul. From here, the landscape shifts—a new valley unfolds, with sweeping views of the immense Lago Viedma. Leaving the Southern Ice Field behind, we descend toward the lake and BahĂa de los TĂ©mpanos, where we set up our final camp.

Day 4: BahĂa de los TĂ©mpanos - BahĂa TĂșnel & Return to El ChaltĂ©n The final day is all about enjoyment. As the sun rises over Lago Viedma, we may be surrounded by floating icebergs, just meters from our tents. The trail to BahĂa TĂșnel is gentle, with rolling hills. Before reaching our transport, we’ll cross RĂo TĂșnel via a long Tyrolean traverse. At BahĂa TĂșnel, our vehicle awaits to take us back to El ChaltĂ©n. The expedition may be over, but the memories will last forever!
